About Me

Nancy Dominic Raphael Miya is a motivated and detail-oriented law graduate with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Juba (2020–2024). She brings a strong foundation in legal research, client support, and case documentation, complemented by hands-on experience in protection, program coordination, and customer relations. Her passion for justice and community service drives her commitment to supporting legal teams and promoting access to justice in South Sudan.

Before pursuing her legal career, Nancy worked as a Gender and Protection Officer with Veterinarians without Borders – VSF Canada, where she coordinated protection interventions, conducted field monitoring, and ensured compliance with safety and referral protocols. As a Protection Officer Intern at War Child Canada, she participated in community awareness programs and site audits focusing on gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and child protection. These roles strengthened her understanding of human rights frameworks and the importance of legal protection mechanisms.

Nancy also served as a Program Manager with the Agency for Local Innovation and Development (ALID), where she gained experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and documentation. Her most recent role as a Customer Care Consultant at South One further enhanced her communication, problem-solving, and client management skills—key assets in legal and administrative support functions.

Fluent in English, Juba Arabic, and Pazande, Nancy possesses excellent interpersonal, research, and organizational abilities. She is proficient in Microsoft Office applications and trained in First Aid, Discipleship, and Basic Computer Skills.

Nancy is passionate about using her legal education to assist in case preparation, legal drafting, and advocacy for vulnerable populations. She aspires to build a career that contributes to a fair, transparent, and rights-based justice system in South Sudan.
